New Product Introduction SIG
The New Product Introduction Special Interest Group is a group with shared interest in the process of product development and introduction. We look at the steps and processes involved from idea formation through to transfer to manufacturing. The interest in this broad topic was demonstrated by the high level of attendance at OMN seminars and lunch speakers where the topics were related to NPI.
SIG meetings can take the form of case studies, presentations, tours, panel discussions and problem solving sessions.
To date in 2006 we have had a case study presentation on the “Stage-Gate Process´(per Cooper), and two panel discussion on the use of PLM tools.
